Review: Bicycle Thieves (Ladri di biciclette) (1948)

This film was different from what I'd expected, but I appreciated it nonetheless. I didn't know of the genre of Italian neorealism and I think this movie really helped me to understand it.

I would recommend this movie because it invoked an emotion that I hadn't really felt in movies for a while. I can't say more that won't spoil the film, but just beware that this is not a happy-go-lucky movie at all.
