Screencaps: Twenty-Four Hours, Season 3 (2018) - Episode 6
There were a lot of guests starting in episode 6.
Xiaozhige had a new album coming out and the team members congratulated him on it.
Xiaozhige realized that all of his teammates probably listened to his songs as kids.
The warm up game involved dancing. Xiaobai and Daxun were getting in the mood.
Anyway, the first game involved three dance moves, which Shawn gave very descriptive names.
There was a dance instructor that would stand behind the group. If you had the same dance move as the dance instructor, you would be eliminated.
Xiaobai was trying to be cheeky by using his phone camera to spy on the dance instructor.
I appreciate that the spy is not always revealed at the very end of the episode. In this episode, the spy was revealed to be Xiaobai at the very beginning of the show, so we got to see how he did his spy duties. Oh and yeah, the magic conch is the deliverer of news.
Like many other challenges, this first challenge had multiple parts. First, the group went into a cave full of aging wines. They had to find the wines from their birth years. Attached to each of those wine vats would be a puzzle piece. The puzzle pieces formed pictures from iconic movies. Once a picture was completed, a team could take a shot at filling in the blanks for an iconic line from the iconic movie.
When looking for the wines with their ages, Lin Yun joked that she was 18 years old.
I think the show revealed Xiaobai as the spy early on so we could see how sneaky he was. Here he is sneaking out of the cave to fulfill one of his spy objectives.
This was a scene later in the challenge when more of the puzzle pieces of had been found and both teams were spending more time on completing the puzzles and filling in the blanks.
Xiaobai and Shawn were sneaking over and trying to steal puzzle pieces from the other team. Apparently Xiaobai learned to moonwalk and he did it on more than one occasion throughout the show lol.
Red team was in the process of answering a question. I first watched Twenty-Four Hours without knowing that Guigui, Xiaobai, and Daxun were actually well acquainted with each other (through Who's the Murderer and probably other variety shows too). Anyway this was funny with or without that context.
Anyway, Daxun and Xiaobai saw an opportunity to disrupt the red team, and told Guigui and answer to her team's question that was wrong.
Guigui fell for it X'D
And Xiaobai and Daxun LOL'ed
Guigui realized she got played, but she also kind of knew that she was an easy target XD

It was blue team's turn to fill in the blank. Daxun was going to reenact a scene that involve confessing his love and shedding tears. He was waiting for the tears to come.
But Xiaobai pushed him out of the way.

Yitian was impressed lol.
Apparently Xiaobai shed a tear because it was too cold lol.
Daxun tried again and this time he got it too XD
Ok so as part of his spy duties, Xiaobai had to exchange a gourd with one of his team members. Meng Jia was already pretty perceptive and noticed that Xiaobai had taken her gourd. (Yeah, I know Meng Jia is wearing red, but she's on blue team lol)
But he nonchalantly said it was fine because they were on the same team lol.
The group was listening to the instructor. The instructor said "gourd," and Xiaobai and Daxun finished off with the same idiom XD The full idiom is "what medicine is sold out of your gourd." I actually didn't know this idiom myself and had to look it up. From what I gathered, if you say you don't know what medicine is sold from your gourd, it means you don't understand something. Anyway, I couldn't resist >3
This next challenge was like pictionary. The drawing board would be sent down a conveyor belt. The members on each team would draw their own pictures, and the team members at the end of the line would guess.

But he was pulled back by Yitian XD
For this next round, Shawn had no idea what he was supposed to draw and needed some help from his northerner teammate Daxun.
Okay, so the battle got a little heated, and the two teams started crossing out each other's pictures XD The thing is, Xiaobai is actually REALLY GOOD at these guessing games. (And this will be a recurring event when it comes to guessing games)

There was some speculation about who the spy was. Little did everyone know the one that no one suspected.
I think where the successful spies excelled was in the fact that most people expected the spies to be the ones who were terrible at team events. However, the successful spies (such as Xiaobai and Xiaozhige) were often very successful in their challenges and avoided suspicion that way. I think people were led to believing that most spy challenges involved bringing down your own team, but I think it's probably split evenly, between challenges where the spy had to bring down their own team, and challenges where they just had to sneak off and do their own thing, which did not affect their team's own challenge.
Anyway, given Xiaobai's track record, he was put on guessing duty again. He got a little tongue tied, but he got the job done again.

This next challenge was pretty fun. Each team member had a cup tied to a random body part. They had to pass a cup of water from team member to team member into a measuring tube at the end. The team with the most water won.
Shawn was insisting that Caiyu was their heavyweight here because her dance skills were the best in the team. Meng Jia wanted to prove that she was just as good.
Shawn got the message.

Not gonna lie, Daxun and Meng Jia were pretty steady.
I didn't screencap this, but there was some infighting in Xiaozhige's team XD He was trying to pass water to Lin Yun and they got into a spat and Lin Yun wanted to dump water of Xiaozhige but she ended up getting it all over herself. It was a mess lol.
To no one's surprise, Shawn's team won. And Xiaobai infected EVERYONE with his memery.
As a prize for winning, the game master gave Shawn's team a clue on a card. The thing is, he raised the card so high up that the other team could also see what was written. Shawn's team was like dude are you for real.

This was the final challenge of the episode. It was another item stealing game.
Daxun claimed he needed protection because he was carrying the "one true gourd" so Shawn played along.

One of Xiaobai's spy duties was NOT to get the true gourd, so he was hanging in the background.
Because he's so sneaky, Xiaobai managed to get away from his team to complete his final spy task. He poured some type of liquid from his gourd into this plant.
And thus completed his spy duties.
In the final seconds of the game, Xiaobai managed to steal Xiaozhige's gourd.
The game is over and the squad is debriefing. Daxun jokes about the liquid in the plant looking like Heihei.
Yitian's like Ge what are you SAYING.
The winner of this episode is...
Blue team!
Oh, right, can't forget the dance.
Now it's time to guess who the spy is. Xiaobai had seen a clue about who the spy was, and it used a polite form of "you." Xiaobai tried to mislead his team members by implying that it was addressing someone who was older.
Daxun's spidey senses are tingling and he straight up asks if Xiaobai is the spy. (Yes there is "can I trust you" angst on a variety game show.)
After their discussion, Xiaobai clarifies that the polite form of "you" could also be used simply as a sign of respect.
And he walks out, identifying himself as the spy.
The entire team is in DISBELIEF.
But mostly Daxun, for ~*~the drama~*~
Lin Yun clarifies that Xiaobai is truly the spy.
And then launches an ATTACK.
Daxun joins in. The caption says "what should I do if my teammates love me too much?"
Truly the heartbroken ones.
Xiaobai tells Meng Jia that exchanging their gourds was part of his spy duties.
Meng Jia: I've been too naive.
Daxun and Shawn watch in anguish as their Xiaobai receives his reward for completing his spy duties.
At the end of the episode, the squad grabs some food. Xiaobai reassures Daxun that he's not a spy anymore.
He literally said "what's up bruh" in English lol.
