This drama was pretty good! Despite being the sequel to the Legend of Zhen Huan, it doesn’t follow all of the exact same story beats, which I appreciate. Instead, this was a more romantic and personal take on the harem drama narrative which I appreciated. The production value was also pretty high. Overall I would recommend this especially if you enjoyed Legend of Zhen Huan or other harem cdramas.

Spoilers, I guess.

To be honest I’m not sure why I watched this show to the end. To be honest I found it a bit repetitive and dragged out. But I suppose you’d enjoy it if you liked the cast members.

As was in last season, the story did get a little messy, but it culminated into an exciting cliffhanger. I was told that this season was gearing up for the end of the series and I can see it. It did lag a bit in the middle but I mostly got hyped at the very end lol.

The whole season was a bit hazy for me. This is usually what happens in the season-by-season format of Western shows, when minor storylines start to be fleshed out and the story has to spread its attention over more topics. That being said I thought the end of this season was more intriguing than the end of the last season, but that’s also because it was more of an unfinished cliffhanger. But at the very least, I was more excited to watch season 4 than I was season 3. I’d say that the writing in season 3 was overall a bit better than season 2 but not as good as season 1.

This season was still ok but not as strong as season 1 in my opinion. Not bad enough to keep me away from watching season 3, I guess. I think there was some heavy handed writing in which the writers didn’t trust the audience to come to their conclusions and it made for rather cheesy parts at times.

This was an alright show. Like many variety shows, it’s more enjoyable if there are celebrities that you already know and like. I think the chemistry of the cast members was overall alright but in terms of the games there wasn’t really anything that special.

I had first heard about this drama as a spin off from Day and Night but I think they don’t share that much in common expect for shared characters. Tonally, this drama felt more like a typical cop crime cdrama, while Day and Night was more distinct stylistically. I think this drama was still okay, but watch it as a typical cop show.I did think the acting and character relationships were compelling though.

I know I am being very picky with shows lately but I figured I might as well be picky with my time. Anyway the first episode of this was quite cheesy and I don’t think I can sit through another 29 episodes of this.

To be honest I don’t enjoy the tomb raiding genre of cdramas. I had hoped that the older cast would made it a little more interesting. I do think the acting in this drama was better than what I’ve seen from other tomb raiding cdramas, but it still couldn’t make up for the generic story line. I ended up dropping this drama after three episodes.

This drama was interesting but unfortunately it was an unfinished story ☹ I only knew this when I reached the end, as questions are mostly unanswered. Nonetheless, I thought the slow sense of mystery was interesting and I wouldn’t even say that I wasted my time because the build up had me intrigued. Even without a conclusion, I felt like it was a decent place to finish. We don’t have all the answers but we have some hints. Not sure if it’s a good or bad thing that I could do with or without a second season. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you’re okay with an unfinished product, and can enjoy the vibes.

This was great, I really enjoyed this first season of the Boys. Non stop moving plot with some interesting and relevant themes. I will definitely be watching the next season.

This series was pretty fun. I think I enjoyed it because it was more of a travel show than a variety show. There weren’t any games or competitions, it was just about enjoying the trip.

Binged the last three episodes of this show and the little five minute snippet that’s supposed to be the ‘true ending’ and I am done. This drama was a mixed bag. The overall character story lines and relationships were interesting. However, the cases were overly convoluted and there was a lot of lazy writing that dampened my enjoyment of the series significantly.

This was a decent mystery. It wasn’t the most thrilling but it was alright. It had some twists and turns that made it interesting enough for me.

This was a decent show. It made some odd choices as an overarching story and the romance didn’t appeal to me that much. However, I did enjoy the lore and the ghost stories, and I did find myself tearing up at the end. I would recommend this as a kdrama that has a bit of everything.

This was the sequel to Sparrow, with some of the same actors returning, namely Zhang Ruoyun and Kan Qingzi. I found this drama to be less compelling than Sparrow. I think Sparrow had more compelling acting, while the characters in Insects Awaken didn’t really give room to the actors to be their own characters. It was okay, not disastrous, but it felt kind of generic.

This was a really interesting documentary on Roman life. It wasn't comprehensive because there are only three episodes, but I really appreciated that it went into the daily lives of Romans as opposed to the great and famous that may be more recognizable.

This was an alright crime drama. It wasn’t perfect, and there were some things that irked me. But the story was interesting enough and the production value was good. Do check this out if you want a short crime drama.

An average procedural crime drama. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the Detective Galileo novels and that disappointed me greatly. These characters are all committing identity fraud. The writers should have just written them as original characters instead of using the names of the characters from the novels. The vibes and styles of the stories were also very different from the novels. Watch this as a procedural crime drama with very common tropes in comedy/crime dramas. I was going to watch season 2 to get it over with but now that I think about it, there’s no reason to put myself through it…
