This was a very typical BBC David Attenborough documentary. It was nice, but I wouldn’t say it was particularly special.

I’d been hearing about this documentary but to be honest it didn’t present any arguments to me that I hadn’t already heard of, even in the year 2020 when it was released. It’s fine for someone who is young and perhaps grew up with social media, but as a millennial who saw the growth of social media as well as the various conversations and discussions around it, it didn’t surprise me. The documentary perhaps presented more facts and interviews, but it didn’t really interest me or shock me. Which is ironic to say because one of the big arguments of the documentary was how social media was designed to grab our attention, and I’m rating this documentary as just ok because it didn’t grab my attention.

A fun little BBC documentary focusing on bioluminescence. It was educational and also a visual feast.

This was a really interesting documentary on Roman life. It wasn't comprehensive because there are only three episodes, but I really appreciated that it went into the daily lives of Romans as opposed to the great and famous that may be more recognizable.

I can see why people found this documentary disturbing. I can also see why people say that this documentary didn’t give us the whole perspective and should have expanded more. But I think this movie did present a narrative of a story that combined a lot of complex and difficult themes. I would recommend this documentary, but of course understanding that some may feel disturbed by the content, and also noting that some may walk away feeling unsatisfied with the extent of the investigation.

This was a documentary about the abuse that occurred on the sets of Nickelodeon kids’ shows. It’d blown up recently and that was how I heard about it. I thought it was a decent documentary that reminded us both of how vulnerable kids are when you put them in positions of employment, and also the importance of tone at the top and top executives in setting an example.

Just as adorable as last season. If you enjoyed the first one, you'll enjoy this one!

Extremely adorable documentary!! I'm just coming off of the famed BBC Earth and Frozen Planet documentaries and I felt that the quality of this documentary was on par with those. Would definitely recommend this documentary for those who like nature documentaries.

This was another short BBC documentary focusing on the coldest parts of the earth. I think it felt a little more repetitive than BBC's other documentaries and perhaps could have been shortened a bit. However, it didn't make the wildlife footage any less impressive.

This was a pretty short documentary series that explored the way life developed from cells to the way that we are now. I liked it, I thought it was pretty interesting, and its length made it an easy binge.

This was only a three-episode documentary so I binged it in one sitting. This documentary had an interesting angle, focusing on what our normal eyes cannot see.

I'd heard really good things about Minding the Gap for years before I finally watched it. I think it was a really interesting film, very thoughtful and well-made, and the added touch is that this documentary was personal to the director himself, chronicling the lives of himself as well as two of his friends. I would recommend this documentary as I felt that it showed us how everybody is facing their own challenges.

This season was really not that different from the previous seasons. If you enjoyed the previous seasons of Aerial China then this season is basically the same. The only difference was that it was longer (10 episodes).

This season was just as good as last season. It covered completely different provinces from season 1, which was nice.

If you enjoyed season 1, then you should check out season 2. I suspect the same will be similar for season 3 as well, but I will have to wait to confirm.

I didn't expect to finish this season today, but I did. This season of Aerial China was extremely bingeable.

I didn't expect anything from this series but it took me by surprise by how varied and fast-paced it was. Admittedly, I mostly watched this series while doing other things, but I think that if I was just sitting down and watching this, I still would've found it enjoyable.

I'd definitely enjoy it for people who are interested in China and Chinese culture as a whole.

It's been a hundred years and I finally watched this documentary series and it definitely did not disappoint!

This movie started off serious, and it became more and more serious. I did appreciate what this movie delivered though. I would describe it as an animated documentary. The structure and story telling of the film was that of a documentary, but it was all drawn instead.

I would recommend it for those who want to see another side of war, to see how war effects humans in more subtle ways. Obviously, this is not the happiest movie, so I'd only recommend it for those who are specifically looking for that kind of content and understanding.

Spoilers.
