This season was more enjoyable than Season 2, but it still didn't have the charm of Season 1. At this point, it is time for the franchise to take a new direction other than focusing so much on romance. Wu Xin needs higher stakes, which I know is hard to do since he's immortal.

I wouldn't say that I'd recommend this season, but if you're watching the entire Wu Xin series for completion, I'd rank this below Season 1 and above Season 2.

This season was disappointing compared to Season 1. What made season 1 special was that it was focused on the folk magic and demon hunting aspects while being set in the early Republican Era. However, Season 2 felt more like a generic Republican era story that just happened to have some folk magic in it. The characters also fell flat.

I'm still going to watch Season 3, but my honest opinion was that Season 2 didn't offer much. The story had little to do with Season 1 so story wise, you wouldn't really be missing much either. But I guess if you're a fan of the series, you might still watch it for completion (like me).

I had a lot of fun watching this show! The writing was far from perfect but I found myself grinning along the whole time.

I would definitely recommend this Cdrama as a fun adventure/supernatural show. I'm excited to watch seasons 2 and 3 now :)
