I know I am being very picky with shows lately but I figured I might as well be picky with my time. Anyway the first episode of this was quite cheesy and I don’t think I can sit through another 29 episodes of this.

To be honest I don’t enjoy the tomb raiding genre of cdramas. I had hoped that the older cast would made it a little more interesting. I do think the acting in this drama was better than what I’ve seen from other tomb raiding cdramas, but it still couldn’t make up for the generic story line. I ended up dropping this drama after three episodes.

I came to know about this show because I had watched the Chinese spinoff, Who’s the Murderer. I’ve decided to drop this show after 6 episodes. It’s fine, but I think it’s not a show I can watch casually.

This show was very much angling for the buddy cop BL vibes drama but it was too forced for me. Probably not one of the better ones out there.

This isn't a terribad drama, it just doesn't really have anything going for it that makes it worth watching. A drama for background watching.

Spoilers up to episode 13.

Oof, this drama was pretty cringe. I was expecting a low budget drama with some interesting writing and science fiction, but the writing was pretty harem-y and the science fiction part wasn't anything that intriguing either.

I dropped this drama part way through episode 7.

Spoilers.

Though I was excited to start this drama, I think unfortunately it doesn't have what it takes to keep me interested. This drama definitely showed traits that we see in more dated Cdramas, specifically Mary Sue characters and dragging story lines.

Spoilers up until episode 8.

This felt like a pretty typical medical drama and I think that's the biggest reason why this drama didn't capture my attention. There did seem to be a politics aspect to it which I would have loved, but I don't think it clicked for me.

Spoilers for first 7 episodes.

I think this drama kind of reaffirmed to me that the tomb raiding genre of Cdramas is not for me. The last tomb raiding Cdrama I watched was Candle in the Tomb featuring Jin Dong, and that one was too campy for me. Candle in the Tomb: The Wrath of Time had a far higher production value and the story was slightly less cheesey. However, I still found the story kind of uninspiring, and I did not feel particularly hyped to watch this show, except to watch the cast.

I got through about half of this drama before I realized that I wasn't engaged or enjoying it at all. The drama was just too campy, and the character tropes weren't fun for me.

Spoilers up until episode 13.

Oof, I watched up to episode 4 (of 32) of this drama and I could see potential in the revenge plot, but the overall writing and production was just a bit too dramatic for me.

The first two episodes were entirely too dramatic and infuriating for me and I was planning to drop the drama then, but I gave it two more episodes, at which point I was just a little bored.

I've decided to drop this show, mostly because there's nothing going on for me to want to keep watching.

It was difficult for me to stay engaged with the show at the beginning, and the story telling overall just isn't engaging or well-paced enough for me. I felt that the characters I liked didn't have much screen time, which was also a little disheartening.

It's unfortunate because I was hoping to enjoy this anime from my teenage years. I do actually think that if I'd watched as a teenager, I might have still enjoyed it, because the main characters are a little teenage-like. However, as an adult, I couldn't take several of the characters seriously.

Spoilers up to Episode 24.

I didn't think I would enjoy this show, but I gave it a shot because my mom enjoyed it, and because the cast was stacked. But this show is very much a soap opera through and through. If you are not into dramatic sopa operas, this is probably going to be frustrating.

Let me summarize the points I liked and didn't like about this show.

The acting in this show was terrific. The dialogue was also well written, though I may have felt that way because of the great acting.

I think I didn't like this show mostly because I don't like soap operas. In each of the two episodes I watched, each had at least one major argument. As well, the drama also spent a lot of time on small gags, which felt like such a time waster. And in the first episodes, Jiang Yinan was such a #girlboss that it was very difficult to want to watch her.

It's a pity that I'm dropping this show so early on, because I really do like the actors, especially Chen Jianbin, Zhao Lixin, and Dai Xu.

Basically, if you like soap operas, I would recommend this. Otherwise, the story will make your blood boil lmao.

While this drama wasn't as bad as I expected, it still wasn't terrific. It was exactly what I expected. I've watched up to episode 10 out of 60, and the main reason that I dropped this show was because nothing was happening. I'm 10 episodes in and I feel like there isn't any plot.

Spoilers up to episode 10.

I'll be honest, this normally isn't kind of my show. I gave it a chance because of its high score on Douban and because of its stacked cast. But ultimately, I think this show is a bit too outdated for me to enjoy in 2021. The style that this drama was made was just too old-fashioned, and the writing offers nothing out of the ordinary.

I watched up until episode 6, so this write up will include spoilers up until then, though truthfully, not much happens.

I had told my coworker that I didn't really watch any Korean dramas. She recommended this Kdrama to me because she said that people who weren't into Kdramas enjoyed it as well.

My issue with this drama was that it dragged and that it spent too much time on romance. That might interest some people, but it didn't interest me. I watched up to episode 4 (of the 20 episode version) before I decided to call it quits.

Some spoilers?

I decided to drop this drama after episode 31. I watched episodes 29-31 on fast forward, but I decided that if I didn't want to watch a show on normal speed, then I might as well not watch it at all.

The biggest reason for me dropping this drama was its pace and storytelling. There were some things in the story that I would've looked forward to, but I didn't know that it was worth slogging through hundreds of too-long conversations to get there.

Some spoilers, I guess?

I'm pretty disappointed to say that I've decided to drop this drama. There was a lot I'd heard about this show that I thought would appeal to me. And after watching 11 episodes, I still see where the appeal is, but it's just not coming together for me. I'm not feeling excited to continue watching at this time.
