Review: David Attenborough's Life That Glows (2016)
A fun little BBC documentary focusing on bioluminescence. It was educational and also a visual feast.
Production
As always, we can expect some great quality shots from BBC documentaries narrated by David Attenborough. Bioluminescence in particular is so beautiful and so I really appreciated the various shots they were able to catch, whether it was animals on a microscopic level, or fields of fireflies.
David Attenborough only appears on screen a couple of times, but his visage paired with his voice really made the documentary more engaging. You can tell how enthusiastic he is about biology and that helps us to focus on the point he’s trying to make.
Content
The documentary was sectioned off with each section focusing on different types of animals and animals from different habitats around the world. I thought the way it was organized was logical enough and not too difficult to follow.
Overall
Another solid documentary this time in a bite sized portion.
