Review: BBC Life (2009)
Once again, another BBC nature documentary that did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this.
Format
Each episode did have a theme but the themes themselves weren't necessarily uniform. Many of the episodes were based around a kind of species (e.g. birds, insects, etc.) but there were a couple that were about a way of life (e.g. the episode about hunting, or the episode about living in the deep ocean).
Production
The production was magnificent as always. What got me even more interested in the production was the behind-the-scenes clips that would go at the end of each episode. I actually found myself more interested in those because it was so fascinating to see how the film crew would catch these amazing shots.
Episodes
I mean, all of the episodes were fantastic, what can I say. What did surprise me was that the episodes were pretty fast paced. We would be shown the animals doing a very specific thing, and then we would already move on to another animal. I think that helped to keep the viewer engaged.
Overall
Terrific, a great watch.
