Screencaps: Twenty-Four Hours, Season 3 (2018) - Episode 1

Last year, I watched a Chinese variety show called Twenty-Four Hours (二十四小時). To be specific, I watched the third season, and I watched it for Bai Jingting (白敬亭). I first saw him in the Chinese variety show Fighting Man (我們戰鬥吧) and I found that he was in a lot of variety shows (yes, I also started watching Who's the Murderer for him XD). Twenty-Four Hours ended up being extremely entertaining due to the good chemistry within the main cast. I'd already written a review on this show here at my old reviews blog.

While I was watching the show, I took screencaps of fun moments, so I thought I'd finally make use of them now (even though it's been a long time since I finished the show). These will just be moments I liked in the show rather than an in-depth summary of what happened. I will try to explain the context, though my memory might be hazy since it's been a while. Also, please excuse any blurry caps. Me and my computer are both doing our best lol.

I ended up taking A LOT of screenshots in the later episodes, so my posts will get longer and longer as time passes lol.

This is going to be a recurring theme but the boys on this show are SO TALL and it makes me weak. Anyway, here's Wei Daxun trying to block the other team from seeing what's inside the box >3

Wei Daxun and Hu Yitian were going up the mountain, and Hu Yitian fell while walking up. For those who don't know, Hu Yitian is VERY TALL, so I was just reminded of an incredibly clumsy giraffe lol.

Xiaobai had to get through a massage to pass this challenge, and he made some faces.

Let me first explain the show a bit more. Most episodes in 24 hours involves two teams competing against each other for points (there are exceptions). Each episode involves a number of challenges, usually ending with one bigger final challenge.

In each episode, 1+ persons are designated as "star owners." The identity of the star owners is a secret, and the team members get to guess who the star owner is at the end of each episode. The role of the star owner is to fulfill their own set of challenges for even more individual points (they only earn points if they complete their tasks and are not voted as the star owners). Sometimes these challenges involve actively working against their own team, helping the other team, or just random challenges that are hard to fulfill without looking really obvious.

For some background information, Zheng Hehuizi and Bai Jingting have past history because they'd acted in a drama together. Huizi was having doubts about who the star owner on their team was, and she made Xiaobai promise that they wouldn't lie to each other, or else they wouldn't reach past 183 cm in height. The editing crew even used this romantic-looking filter (Huizi and Xiaobai had played a couple in their drama).

Except Huizi didn't realize that Xiaobai was already 183cm tall so he didn't have to worry about breaking the promise XD

Ahhh it's so cute how much Huizi sticks to Xiaobai. She trusts him completely and tells him her analysis for who she thinks is the star owner on their team.

In the end, when the star owner is revealed, Xiaobai runs away in fear of Huizi's anger XD

Shawn also feels a little betrayed and draws a line in the ground. This will be a recurring theme every time Xiaobai reveals he's the star owner, because he's ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD AT TRICKING PEOPLE. It's his bunny rabbit face.

Huizi deserves consolation for having her heart broken like this XD

I did say I didn't have that many screenshots for the first few episodes. I promise the number of screencaps will rise EXPONENTIALLY, based on what I have sitting in my screenshots folder ^^;;
