Screencaps: Twenty-Four Hours, Season 3 (2018) - Episode 2

Here we go with episode 2!

Have a group picture! I'm kind of a fan of the fashion choices in this show. They aren't always the sharpest, but it really feels like the cast are wearing clothes that they are comfortable with. I especially liked when the show relied on colour themes to identify the teams as opposed to a more strict "uniform."

Another thing that I liked about 24 hours was that sometimes, games get out of hand (maybe because the rules aren't that great to begin with). Instead of forcing the cast to go back on script, a lot of the time, the show just lets the cast continue with their own new version of rules because it's clear they're having more fun that way.

This is just one of the milder cases, but the challenge was to use really random objects to row yourself and your team member out into the pond. It was extremely difficult with the tools they were given, so Xiaobai just decided to get in the water and push the raft because it was faster.

From Fighting Man, we already knew that Xiaobai was into the memes. In Twenty-Four Hours, there is so. much. memery. Xiaobai continues the dabs, of course.

Here's Xiaobai dabbing in the title theme, which comes before every episode XD

Okay, bear with me as I try to explain this game. Three members of a team have to play pictionary with a piece of dough. Each member has a time limit on how much time they get to work with the dough before they have to pass it on to the last member.

The time limit is actually based on a member of the opposing team trying to pump a balloon until it pops. So it's in the opposing team's interest to pump the balloon as possible so that their opponents get as little time as possible with the dough.

When it's Xiaobai's turn to pump the balloon, he totally forgets, and Shawn calls him Baige XD Ge means older brother, but you might also use it if you're begging someone, even if sarcastically XD So Shawn is begging Xiaobai to get with the program XD

Shawn has his own happy dance when his team gets the answer right yet again.

Dylan gets frustrated that his team isn't doing well, and he storms off. No one came after him to drag him back, and Daxun called him out on the awkwardness XD

This game involves a song being mixed in a weird way, and the contestants have to compete to be the first one to get to the microphone and to sing the rest of the lyrics correctly.

Xiaobai and Daxun get really into the rap.

And here, Xiaobai gets super into Jam Hsiao's song, with Daxun and Huizi not far off lol.

The final challenge of this episode involved the two teams finding cards in a small Turkish town. The cards were in pairs, and only one of each pair was the "correct card." Like most of the final challenges, this game also had an element of being able to steal from players on the opposing team.

Lin Yun enlinsted a bunch of the local kids to help her find some cards.

Xiaobai tried to steal Xiaozhige's card. Except Jimmy exploited Xiaobai's love of sneakers and stepped on his sneaker to get him to let go of him XD So cruel

Xiaobai came to his teammates' rescue when being chased by Yitian.

I thought this final challenge was pretty fun. Like many of the other challenges, it involved some strategy and thinking (i.e. figuring out which of each pair of cards was right and wrong).

The architecture of the town was very charming too. I'm kind of curious whether it was actually a town that people lived in, since it seemed like locals were hanging out. I'm not 100% sure on that though.
