Screencaps: Twenty-Four Hours, Season 3 (2018) - Episode 12
The final episode of this season!
This episode started off similarly to the test tube episode at the school where the players had to begin by choosing who they'd attack and protect.
Xiaobai had a feeling that Daxun would attack him, despite all they'd been through.
The muddle-headed brothers chose to protect each other.
Xiaobai continued to muse that he actually kind of wanted to attack Daxun this time.
Anyway, he was like Daxun, you'd better not attack me, or I'll be EMBARRASSED INTO A RAGE (this was a recurring theme for Xiaobai lol). Anyway he was like Wei Daxun I better not catch you attacking me or else there'll be hell for you.
So Ziqi and Yitian decided to protect each other. Daxun was to protect Shawn, and Yitian and Daxun were to attack each other. This was what was revealed to us so far.
Xiaobai was getting cocky here counting all of his stars.
The rankings as of the beginning of this episode.
The squad arrived at an amusement park.
The first challenge was to sing a song while on a roller coaster.
As Lin Yun and Shawn leave for their run, Shawn was like WRITE ME LETTERS GUYS>
Poor Lin Yun. I'd be like that too.
As Xiaobai was leaving for his run, Daxun played the dramatic heartbroken friend.
Xiaobai continued to watch him with a super indifferent expression all the way down the runway.
Xiaobai was doing okay at first.
After a certain point, he just started making up lyrics. Here, the lyric was "Wei Daxun is really ugly." You know, typical stuff you say about your best bro in stressful times.
Daxun was none the wiser.
Until he realized what Xiaobai was saying and was like NEVER COME BACK.
As Xiaobai got off the ride Daxun was like WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT ME PUNK.
Xiaobai has no fear.
Ziqi started off super chipper.
But it went the way we all thought it would.
Before Xiaozhige went, Shawn was like you have to go fast or else man's going to fall asleep.
Anyway, the guys handled it alright I'd say.
The next challenge was on these tower machinese. I don't know what they're actually called but you basically sit in a seat and it goes up and down at alarming speeds and heights. The goal was to go up and down without spilling too much water in your cup.
Lin Yun was extremely scared so she got some encouragement from Shawn.
Xiaozhige, Daxun, and Xiaobai went on the rocking ship and put on some facial masks while they were at it. The goal was to put on as many as possible.
This next challenge included a bunch of mystery boxes. The players had to reach into the boxes to retrieve the balls, while also singing a song. They'd be graded on how well they sang the song + the number of points on the balls they'd retrieve. This was one of those events that just had everyone laughing :P
Shawn was surprisingly antsy when it came to touching the things inside the boxes. He actually ended up skipping quite a few boxes.
Ziqi got scared by proximity lol.

Xiaobai got a lot of balls but he got a surprisingly low score for singing. Whelp.
Daxun touched a plush doggo and stuck his hand immediately back inside his sweater pocket lol.
Now the star of the show XD Our favourite jumpy Xiong Ziqi. He gently tapped the hamster and SCREAMED and FLUNG THE BOX XD
He was doing surprisingly well in the box with the fish/eels, but he skipped it after the fish started biting a bit. Actually, the show runners made an animation to show his soul leaving his body after that scare X;D
The team was having a good laugh.
There was a short mini challenge for those who didn't do so well in the mystery box challenge.
Yitian, Daxun, and Xiaobai had to re-enact the famous confrontation scene in the Disguiser but using Heihei instead of guns.
Lin Yun and Ziqi opted for something more sentimental.
Okay this next game was a pretty risky one. Players were allowed a certain number of tiles on a game board, and they were to hide their stars under their own tiles. Afterwards, players would go around the game board uncovering tiles and stealing the stars that they found.
Here, Xiaozhige uncovered a bunch of Daxun's stars, and Shawn was jealous because he wanted them.

Xiaobai ended up losing a lot of stars because he opted for the high risk, high reward method of hiding most of his stars under a few tiles rather than spreading them out.
This next game was a pictionary chain game. The first person would draw a picture based on the word/idiom. The next person would draw a picture based on that picture, etc.
First round was simple, without obstacles.
As usual, Xiaobai could be counted on to be great at guessing idioms.

The second round was drawing with an eyemask. I don't have any good caps for these rounds though.
The final game took place at this historic looking town. I imagine it's probably used as a set for historical dramas.
We find out who Xiaobai decided to attack and protect. He notably did NOT decide to attack Daxun lol.
Daxun asked Xiaobai if he wanted a test tube. Xiaobai was going to refuse out of pride but he was like never mind give me it.
Daxun made sure to clarify that it was FOR HIS KIDS and not for Xiaobai lol.
Lin Yun came across this cute donkey pulling around a wheel that was grinding peppers :3
The three of them decided to team up for a bit to eliminate a few of the other players.
Earlier, Wei Daxun found out that Hu Yitian had decided to attack him. Yitian was pretending like nothing was going on but Daxun called him out on it and things became awkward for Yitian lmao.

Xiaobai made it seem like he was after Lin Yun but he was actually after Xiaozhige. As you can see, Ziqi and Xiaozhige were in the middle of a meal so when Xiaobai tapped him with the racket Xiaozhige was like ??? right in front of my noodles???
While it was all going down, Shawn went to hide in the corner and watch the show lol.

Xiaozhige was the first to be eliminated. You know how he was having noodles with Ziqi earlier? Well, they got to talking about who Ziqi was attacking and he said Daxun, but he took out Xiaozhige knowing that he didn't have many test tubes left. As you can see, the whole crew's here, and they're singing one of his own songs as his goodbye song lol.
Xiaobai, Daxun, and Shawn were still strategizing together afterwards. They figured they had to go after Yitian and Ziqi. Daxun gave some test tubes to Xiaobai who was running low.

In the midst of the scuffle Shawn came along and attacked Yitian.
Daxun and Yitian attacked each other at the same time. Well, Daxun initiated, thinking that they'd both go down, but it turns out Yitian had more test tubes than he'd thought. In addition to that, Yitian's test tubes came from Lin Yun, which came from Shawn, which came from Daxun XD So he led himself to his own downfall.
More reveals. First we see that Ziqi is actually attacking Lin Yun, which is a bit of a surprise because of how he'd eliminated Xiaozhige earlier. We see that Shawn actually chose to attack Xiaobai, which becomes important at the end of the game. Remember, Xiaobai chose to protect Shawn.
Shawn eliminated Ziqi.
Yitian was protecting Ziqi but since Ziqi had been eliminated, now Yitian can't win anymore.
Xiaobai found out that Shawn was attacking him, which came as a surprise. It's especially a nuisance because he was protecting him.
In the end, Xiaobai let Shawn eliminate him.
The premise of the entire show was that all of the players were from a different time period. So the winners of the game were allowed to "go back" to their timeline. The winners of the game were Shawn and Lin Yun.
And that's the season!!!!
I realize that I skipped over big parts of the show without explanation. For most of them, it was either because I didn't find the part of the episode that fun or I just didn't get good screencaps. And each episode is about an hour and a half long so I was reluctant to go back and get more screencaps just for illustrative purposes.
I admit that by doing this screencap project I've been reminded why I don't do screencaps anymore XD If I want to do them well, then I'd need be spending a lot more time getting the perfect moments. But alas, this was supposed to be for fun anyway. I did have some fun going through my screencaps and watching short parts of the show and reliving the hilarous moments though.
